A very sunny morning in Adlestrop with the horses looking great, both those in training and those on holiday.  Looking forward to some entries next week.

Very lucky to attend Royal Ascot yesterday following a delicious lunch with owner Bunny Roberts.  A brilliant day of racing with Baaeed looking majestic, Bradsell looking extremely fast and Nature Strip looking even faster. Coroebus won a fantastic St James’s Palace Stakes where two lengths covered the first seven home.  Whilst fortunately I backed Coltrane to continue the great run of our friends Mick and Janice Mariscotti, under a great ride from Callum Hutchinson who has inherited plenty of skill from his father Wayne.

Today’s racing looks as competitive as ever but hoping Bay Bridge can win the Prince Of Wales as he is a horse I have followed throughout his career.  However he is a short price, as is Little Big Bear but both should win.  I was most taken with Dark Shift’s Nottingham victory and if forced to have a bet in the Hunt Cup, he’d be the one under the world class James McDonald.
