With our Five to Follow Competition starting as of 1st November – full details HERE, we continue with a brief write up on the horses to help or hinder or selections!

IRON HORSE

11-year-old gelding by Kayf Tara out of What A Vintage

Iron Horse ran an excellent second on his seasonal debut last year before pulling a muscle on his next run.  We have the option of both hurdles and fences this season and he looks competitively handicapped.  He requires races of two and a half to three miles to be seen at his best and with a trouble free season, we should find plenty of opportunities for him over the winter.

KEEP IT BRIEF

5-year-old gelding by Muhaarar out of Brevity

Keep it Brief has winning form for us on the flat and definitely has the ability to win over hurdles with his present handicap mark.  He has shown decent form on the all-weather up to two miles and would appreciate stepping up in trip over hurdles.

LESSER

8-year-old gelding by Stowaway out of Aine Dubh

Lesser has won all four of his starts to date, including an Irish point-to-point, a bumper and two novice hurdles.  He was out last season with a leg injury but is on the way back and will hopefully be on the track around Christmas time.  He will start off over hurdles with the option of going chasing after this.  He is potentially an exciting chasing prospect and hopefully his owner’s patience will be rewarded this season.
