Great to have plenty of visitors to the yard this week, including Sue Jones who bred Totterdown (pictured).  He  appears in good form and will be entered in two races next week at Bangor and Lingfield.  He loves soft ground and normally runs well fresh, so hopefully we can find a suitable opportunity for him and he can give The Adlestrop Club a fun day out.

On Tuesday Grace Muir and Robert Stanley came to see their homebred Beechwoodpark Lady – a promising three-year-old Jack Hobbs filly.

Grace also runs the syndicate who own Valuable Asset, another homebred who is a tall four-year-old who has shown us promise.  All connections are being very patient and I am sure it will be rewarded long-term.

Bob and Fiona Ives, members of both the Zara and Cavallo syndicates came to see Mattie Ross and Lizzie Rey who we look forward to running over hurdles in the next month.  Both mares have shown great promise and should have a successful season ahead.

This afternoon I’m off to see Colin Pocock’s three-year-old Blue Bresil filly that he purchased at Goffs May sale.  She is by the sire of Constitution Hill and is from a wonderful Aga Khan family and looks just the type for bumpers in the future.

Martin Jones is educating her at present and always does an excellent job.  We look forward to her joining our string in the future and giving the enthusiastic Pocock family plenty of fun and success.
