Off to saddle Iron Horse (pictured) today in the 12.47pm at Leicester, a course and distance he has run well over before.  He was runner up last season at the venue although the ground was a bit softer that day which may have suited him better.  However it should be a good starting point for him for the season ahead in what looks like a tricky handicap.

Urban Champion settled better at Wolverhampton on Tuesday and will hopefully now have a handicap mark and a gelding operation which I am sure will help his cause.  He is a full-brother to a multiple winner and once he matures further he should be competitive for Hunscote Stud.  The stud had an excellent sales season, especially when selling some valuable mares this week and we look forward to them going from strength to strength.

Bluenose Belle led until a furlong and a half out at Kempton yesterday and was beaten six lengths by the winner.  Having had to make the running as there was no pace on, she ran well all things considered and we look forward to finding a suitable race for her in a few weeks-time when hopefully she will be able to have a lead.

We are looking forward to our Adlestrop Club General Knowledge Quiz tomorrow evening – which is always a great fun event.  Due to a cancellation, we have a couple places available – so do be in touch if you would like to come along.  Details below:
