We have declared both Manalishi and Sumatran Tiger at Uttoxeter on Saturday. Manalishi has shown promise on each of his runs and appears in good form at home. Although it is a competitive race, we are hopeful of another pleasing run from him. He is a very popular horse with a great character and has put up with a few set backs during his career but has always shown plenty of ability.
Sumatran Tiger (pictured) is a dual Jersey Derby winner who loves her jumping and good ground. She has had a wind op over the winter and we look forward to her having a successful summer for owner Bunny Roberts.
At York today we will have the last of the Derby clues following the Dante and certainly the Epsom Classics look fascinating affairs. As ever, waiting on Ballydoyle decisions as they have many options for both Classics.
I have been a fan of Benvenuto Cellini since his impressive win at Leopardstown last season and although Constitution River was also impressive at Chester, the former looks the type to act around the Epsom track. As for the Oaks, it looks unlikely that Diamond Necklace will go for the English Oaks and will more likely return to France for the French equivalent however she looks extra special.
