Manalishi ran an excellent second at Uttoxeter on Saturday evening.  Travelling up with the pace throughout, he jumped well on the whole and stayed on in spirited style from the last to be beaten by a previous Cheltenham bumper winner.

He will undoubtedly improve for a step up in trip eventually but hopefully we can get another run into him on some safe ground in the next few weeks before putting him on his holidays.  It was great that so many of his owners were able to be present and they deserve plenty of success having been so patient with him as he has had a fair few niggles in the past.

With rain arriving during the evening, the ground was too soft for Sumatran Tiger in the handicap hurdle and realising it was not her day, Harry Bannister rightly pulled her up and we will look for a firmer surface in the next few weeks.  She has shown plenty of ability last season on better ground and will I am sure put that run behind her this summer.
