Due to some untimely rain the ground was too soft for Organdi at Sandown on Saturday and we will have to find some faster ground for her.  Obviously disappointing for everyone as she had been trained for this race for quite a while and it would have been interesting to see how she had got on over this extended trip had the ground been better.  We have entered her at Uttoxeter on Saturday and there are a fair few options for her in May and over the rest of the summer.  Hopefully she will continue to give her owners, the Beautiful People syndicate, plenty of fun and enjoyment over the coming months.

The ground also went against Corrany at Chepstow on Friday evening as he also prefers a firmer surface.  However, he completed the course and hopefully this run will have blown away a few cobwebs for the summer ahead.

We have Fighting Poet entered on the flat at Salisbury on Thursday and plenty of entries at Uttoxeter on Saturday.  Along with Organdi we have Elfride, Methodtothemagic and Pop Mistress entered.

The latter mare is unbeaten in bumpers and we look forward to her making her hurdling debut soon as long as we can find some safe ground for her.  Aiden Coleman schooled her last week and was pleased with her jumping ability.  With luck, she will be rewarding her patient owners very soon.

On Saturday I visited Batsford Stud to view our latest foal by Passing Glance out of Gianna.  Gianna is a half-sister to Back On The Lash, with Giovanna being their mother who was a multiple winner for the yard.

Hopefully the tough and talented genes have been passed on to this lovely colt.
