With the very hot conditions the horses were exercised very early this morning.  A beautiful sunrise and let us hope that temperatures don’t get too high.

We decided against sending Corrany to Newton Abbot yesterday and will instead aim him for Bangor next week.

Organdi has been entered at Uttoxeter on Sunday.  She had a skin infection following being unseated in her last race and we will consider the weekend but she also has an option at Bangor next week.

Delighted to attend our yard sponsor, Martin Harvey’s surprise birthday lunch in London on Thursday.  Organised by his wife Sue, they have been great supporters of the yard for twenty years and we look forward to both Lesser and Run Rosie Run giving Martin the best present of all this coming season.

Once again Jessie Harrington proved to be one of the most outstanding trainers of her generation by winning the Irish Oaks on Saturday with Magical Lagoon.  A brilliant all-round horsewoman, her filly showed the same toughness as her handler to see off the challenge of Coolmore’s Toy.

Both first and second are by Galileo, once again emphasising the brilliance and toughness of his offspring.  I am sure the Conservative party would love a son or daughter of Galileo to lead them.
