Fighting Poet ran a very pleasing seasonal debut at Windsor yesterday, finishing a staying on fourth in the mile and a quarter handicap.  Callum Hutchinson reported that once he had warmed up, he enjoyed going between the gaps of the opposition in the final couple of furlongs and will get a bit further.  We look forward to another fun summer with Poet for the Adlestrop Club and he is becoming an Adlestrop legend.

Aajej runs at Ascot today in the two mile apprentice handicap.  He was purchased in February for owner Adam Jeavons and will hopefully go hurdling this autumn.  In the meantime, we will have some fun with him on the flat and he has shown some useful form.  He is ridden by apprentice Owen Lewis who comes highly recommended and we look forward to him making his debut for the yard today.

We have Willow Edge and Six Blue entered on Monday and hopefully the ground will be safe enough at Southwell for Willow.  Whilst Six Blue needs one more run to get a handicap mark and has shown enough promise in her two previous flat races to suggest she will be competitive if given a fair mark.
