Roody Toody (pictured) has been declared in the fillies novice at Newmarket tomorrow run at 11.52am. It is the only opportunity we had to give her another run before the end of the turf season as she did not appear to like the all-weather last time out.
She will go on her holidays after this which will give her time to strengthen up for her three-year-old career. She showed plenty of promise on her first two runs and should provide a lot of fun for her owner/breeder next season.
With the ground for Sheila Nash too soft at Huntingon on Sunday, we will head to Hereford on Monday with her in the hands and heels conditional jockeys race. Hopefully the ground will ride on the good side and she can build on her pleasing last run at Worcester.
With Lingfield being called off yesterday, Totterdown has options at Plumpton on Monday and Newbury on Thursday. Hopefully we can find a good oppportunity for him as he runs well fresh and loves soft ground.
The Breeders Cup should be as ever, a great International festival of the best of flat racing. British and Irish racing is represented by some great horses and chances including Mawj, Live In The Dream, Inspiral, Warm Hearted, Auguste Rodin, Mostahadf and King Of Steel. The latter will find conditions very different to those he encountered at Ascot but good luck to all contenders at Santa Anita.
