We were all delighted with Baron Wagstaff’s second at Wolverhampton on Monday. Having shown promise earlier in his career, he had not been finishing his races as we would have liked and treatment for gastric ulcers appears to have helped. In some respects he was a bit unlucky as he had a bit of a bump when challenged in the straight. Hopefully he can build on this performance and reward his patient owne Turrloo Parrett.
We have Manton Road entered for Wolverhampton on Tuesday in the mile and a quarter handicap. The step up in trip should suit him as he is rather slow away from the stalls. He has been running consistently well and deserves to get his head in front again soon.
Whilst we get the National Hunt string fit for the coming season in the hope of rains arriving, we are very much concentrating on flat runners at present and look forward to making entries for Talking Bear and Fighting Poet in the coming week.
We are at present leasing 1/8th shares in promising novice chaser Hidden Target (pictured) for the upcoming season. For more details visit HERE.
Jo is having a well-deserved holiday to celebrate a big birthday next week, therefore there will be no blog uploaded but it will return next weekend.
