Fighting Poet ran a bit free early on at Lingfield on Wednesday for our amateur Ed Mitchell.  However he was in contention until the straight after which he stayed on at one pace.  The race has given Ed some valuable experience and hopefully we can find a suitable opportunity for Fighting Poet in the coming weeks.

Delighted to attend the Bucks County Show yesterday as a guest of owner Lizzie Prowting.  Always look forward to the day which is a wonderful celebration of the countryside.  Despite having several attempts, not for the first year, Lizzie and I failed to win a cuddly pink pig by not being able to knock the milk bottles off the table.

We have both now concluded it would cheaper to buy one but possibly not as much fun.  It was so good to see so many young people in attendance, especially in the showing classes of various animals and hopefully the countryside is in safe hands due to an historic love of livestock.

Looking forward to National Racehorse Week starting on the 9th September, with our full booked morning on the gallops taking place on that day.  Delighted so many in the industry are getting involved this year and looking forward to celebrating the racehorse throughout the week.
