Tulane came to win the race in the straight at Kempton last night, having been given a fine ride by Kieran Shoemark.  However he appeared to get tired in the last two furlongs as he is not the easiest to get fit but hopefully will come on for this effort and has entries next week.

There is still a race or two to be won when everything comes together for him and let’s hope he continues to give the Adlestrop Club some fun.

It was good to see a decent turnout at Kempton last night with it being a warm, summers evening.  It was great to bump into William Muir to congratulate him on Pyledriver’s wonderful success in the King George.

I have known William and his family for many years.  He is a great horseman and not only was it a wonderful success for his team but also for horseracing in general.

Most of the string are now back in from their holidays.  We look forward to building up their fitness over the coming months, with much to look forward to with some exciting new additions to the yard.

With National Racehorse Week taking place once again this year between 10th – 18th September, we look forward to welcoming many visitors during that week.  Very pleased that ‘Go Racing Green’ are coming to visit on Tuesday 13th and delighted to hear of all the plans other trainers are making this year, to once again celebrate the racehorse.

Adlestrop Stables will be open to the public on Sunday 11th September from 9am – 12pm.  As well as meeting the horses and the team, we will have interviews and demonstrations to enjoy, including the great Yogi Breisner again this year.   Free coffee and cake will also be available during the morning.
