Plenty of runners coming up this week with Tech That running in the two and a half mile handicap chase at Worcester tomorrow at 1.50pm and Fighting Poet running at Epsom in the mile and a half handicap at 8.07pm.  On Thursday we have Baron Wagstaff running at Nottingham in the mile and a quarter three-year-olds handicap at 3.30pm and Express Train running in the six furlong, 0-70 handicap at 8.53pm.

Tech That probably needs a bit further to be seen at his best but it will be interesting to see how he gets on now he has had a wind op since his chasing debut and Harry Bannister rides.  Whilst Fighting Poet has been runner up in this race in the past with Rab Havlin onboard and Rab takes the ride again on this occasion.  The top weight is Ricardo Phillips, named after me and trained by my old boss Henry Candy – hopefully both will run well.

Baron Wagstaff makes his handicap debut and has been gelded since his last run.  Sean D Bowen who has ridden him on each occasion is once again onboard.  This son of Ulysses showed plenty of promise on his debut and although the ground may not suit ideally it will be good to give him more experience.

Express Train makes his debut for us at Kempton and once again Rab Havlin rides.  We are on a fact finding mission with him having purchased him earlier in the year and we look forward to his owners, who are all great supporters of HEROS Charity, having some fun with him this summer.
