Alright Chap (pictured) ran a pleasing debut in the bumper at Huntingdon yesterday.  Gavin Sheehan said that he was very professional in his approach, travelling and moving well before being outpaced then staying on the straight, despite not having much company to race with.  He will now go hurdling and should give his syndicate The Aspirationals, plenty of fun in the coming months.

Once again Bluenose Belle had to make her own running at Wolverhampton yesterday which was far from ideal.  Jonny Peate thought she would benefit from a stronger pace on a more galloping track and possibly over a bit further.  We also have the option of going over hurdles with her as she is a fine, big filly.

A wonderful Boxing Day of racing with some great performances including the magnificent Constitution Hill and the impressive Bravemansgame.  The ever popular Paisley Park appears to have a new lease of life, whilst Thyme Hill silenced his doubters jumping with greater fluency thanks to some headgear, proving he was a class apart in the three mile novices chase.

With the Welsh National today and Edwardstone running at Kempton, there are plenty of presents still to come for racing fans.  The crowd at Huntingdon yesterday was a large one and despite the cost of living crisis, thankfully racing is still proving to be an excellent and healthy day out for many in Britain.  Long may this continue.
