Mattie Ross ran a very pleasing second at Uttoxeter yesterday. Jumping and travelling well off a slow pace, she stayed on well in the straight giving the winner eight pounds. Hopefully she will continue to give her patient owners plenty of fun and we look forward to her next outing.
Rossbeigh Strand jumped well on the whole on his chasing debut at Southwell on Tuesday. Finn Lambert was able to hold him up on this occasion and looked like getting into contention before unfortunately once again his old wind issue resurfaced.
His owners have been extremely patient with him and he has shown plenty of promise in the past – however it is now time for him to be rehomed. He is a handsome type who jumps well and we look forward to finding him a happy retirement.
An exciting end to the jump trainer’s championship with Willie Mullins looking odds on favourite to take the title. A remarkable effort from a remarkable man. However it has been a frustrating season for many British stables including ourselves, with very soft ground being prevalent for much of the winter. However we have lots to look forward to with the new season starting and have some promising young prospects as well as some old favourites for the season ahead.
Also looking forward to adding to the string at the sales in the next few months.
