Express Train ran a pleasing fourth at Wolverhampton on Tuesday, ridden by Alfie Redman who had ridden him previously when trained by Andrew Balding, replacing injured Rab Havlin. Express Train showed great enthusiasm from the front and will hopefully be winning for his patient connections soon.
With some much needed rain, Adlestrop is looking much greener and we continue to build up the fitness with our jump string ready for an autumn campaign when the ground allows. We have a nice group of horses with plenty possible and probable winners amongst the string and there is much to look forward to with our great staff and owners.
A quiet week for entries as many of the flat string have run recently but look forward to some runners the week after. Good luck to Constitution Hill today in the September Stakes. He has become a bit of an equine icon thanks to his extraordinary career and let us hope he puts up a competitive performance today for his many fans in what is certainly his toughest task yet. However if on song, Billy Loughnane could have an exciting ride.
