We have declared Corrany for Worcester on Wednesday in the three mile handicap chase.  Hopefully the return to fences will suit him and he wears cheek pieces with Finn Lambert onboard, claiming seven pounds.

We decided not to take Organdi to Cartmel today and give her a bit longer to recover from her excellent Worcester run.  We will now aim her for Warwick on 20th September.

Many thanks to everyone who supported our Adlestrop Club charity cricket match yesterday.  Played in memory of Luke Watson and raising money for both Racing Welfare and the beautiful cricket ground, thanks to some wonderful weather, a fine day was had by all.

Despite some excellent batting from Richard Johnson and Richard Phillips, along with great technique from Finn Lambert – the Adlestrop Ashes went to the local side.  However Richard Johnson’s surprisingly good knock to keep us in the match, meant he won the inaugural ‘Mick Barnes Player of the Match’ award.

Hopefully the lunch for seventy on the day raised a good amount for the very worthy causes and all spectators were treated to an entertaining game which included Richard’s daughter Willow Johnson, Marcus Armytage and his son Arty and our physio Maggie Turner.

Special thanks to our captain Charlie Allan and Warren Marston, who by the look of his fielding – had had a good bet on the home side to win.
