We have three runners on Wednesday with Talking Bear going to Kempton for the 6.51pm – a seven furlong novice stakes ridden by Callum Hutchinson.  Unfortunately this three-year-old son of Kodi Bear was unable to make his debut a few weeks ago as he got restless in the stalls having had to wait in them for nearly five minutes.  Hopefully everything will go right on Wednesday and he can show some promise for his very patient owner breeders.

Fighting Poet runs in the 4pm at Wolverhampton, the mile and a half classified stakes.  He has had a busy time recently but is in good form and with very few other opportunities about for him we decided to let him take his chance.  Jonny Peate rides and Poet will wear a visor for the first time.

Manton Road also goes to Wolverhampton for the 0-60 handicap over a mile run at 4.35pm with Kieren Fox booked to ride.  He was unlucky in running last week at Lingfield as a neighbouring horse’s blindfold was thrown near his face on leaving the stalls which caused him to be slow away.  However with more luck he should put up another competitive run in this race.

It was great to welcome some families through the charity Box 4 Kids to the yard on Saturday on the first day of National Racehorse Week.  This was the third year we have welcomed families through this wonderful charity and it is always a delight to see young people engage with the horses during their visit.  The horses very much enjoyed the apples and carrots and we very much look forward to next year.

All at Adlestrop are very much looking forward to opening our yard on Wednesday to celebrate National Racehorse Week.  Thanks to the generosity of our owners, there will be plenty of refreshments, cakes and biscuits for our visitors as we celebrate the lives of these wonderful animals that do so much to us.
