Delighted for all concerned to see Lesser win so well at Bangor last night in the three miles novices handicap chase.  Given a peach of a ride by Adam Wedge, he moved into the race well turning for home and stayed on strongly following a bold leap at the last to win with a bit in hand.  It was very satisfying to see Adam ride us another winner as he started his career here at Adlestrop and has always been an excellent horseman.

Lesser’s connections have been extremely patient with him and it’s great to see him retain his ability and well done to the whole team for getting him back to winning ways.  Bangor racecourse looks after owners extremely well and it was wonderful that part-owner Sue Harvey was present to see the great victory.

Looking forward to Elfride running at Ffos Las tomorrow in the three mile hurdle and hopefully we will have more runners at the weekend if the going is suitable.

Looking forward to attending the Oaks on Friday which looks a fascinating affair with Aiden O’Brien and Ralph Beckett both making a strong challenge for success in a race they have a great record in.  Dermot Weld who won the race in the seventies, has a live chance with Ezeliya.  It would be truly wonderful if Treasure could step on her fourth in the Oaks trial, giving success to His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen in a race the monarch’s mother had a great record in.

Also best of luck to Kieran Shoemark who rides Emily Upjohn in the Coronation Cup.  We have followed Kieran’s career closesly since he rode out for us in his teens and it would be fantastic to see him have yet another Group One success.
