Elfride travelled and jumped well at Lingfield yesterday in the three mile handicap hurdle. Johnny Burke reported that she was unable to quicken in the very soft ground in the straight but is sure that she will be very competitive once finding the good to soft ground she won on earlier in the season.
Urban Champion runs in the 8.30pm at Kempton this evening with Kieran Shoemark onboard. Kieran recommended we leave the hood off him this time as he settled too well on his previous run and hopefully this more galloping track will suit him as he has shown in the past that he has plenty of ability to be competitive in this type of race.
We have entered Little Big Kev in the bumper at Southwell on Sunday. He was purchased at the Doncaster May sales and showed promise in his only point-to-point and we look forward to him making his debut for us – hopefully the ground will dry out by then.
This year’s Adlestrop Club Cheltenham Festival Preview will take place on Monday 4th March, in Adlestrop Village Hall at 7pm.
The panel will include leading National Hunt jockey Sam Twiston-Davies, racing broadcaster Cornelius Lysaght and jockeys agent Gordon Clarkson.
Due to space restrictions, we have been limiting bookings to Adlestrop Club members only until now, however we have a small number of tickets available to non-members at £20 to include drinks.
This entertaining and informative evening is always a sell out, so please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to come along.
