Roody Toody makes her two-year-old debut at Kempton tonight in the seven furlong fillies maiden at 7pm. She is a daughter of first season sire Land Force and we have always liked her. The race this evening is a hot contest however it will be good to give her some experience and we look forward to her turning into a nice three-year-old for next season as she is well related.
We have entries for next week for Methodtothemagic and Organdi who have both done us proud this season. The race may be coming a bit soon for Organdi at Uttoxeter on Tuesday however there are very few options and we will see how she is over the next few days.
Methodtothemagic has had a little break since her last run and has options at Worcester on Monday and Uttoxeter on Tuesday.
Sad to hear of the passing of Mike Yarwood last week. Many from my era will know him as a famous entertainer in the seventies. A brilliant mimic, like many I was inspired by his performances and indeed it was Yarwood impersonating Howard Wilson that started my fascination with mimicry. Very few impersonators have such a wide range of characters.
Many thanks for all the birthday messages. Unfortunately the Racing Post have gone a week too early and it is in fact next Tuesday 19th. A week is a long time in racing but hopefully we will get there.
