We were very pleased to see Sheila Nash run so competitively at Worcester on Monday.  Daryl Jacob kept her wide on the better ground and she came to challenge at the second last before making a mistake at the final jump and eventually finishing third.

She appears to be coming back to her winning form of last season at the track and hopefully will be back in the winners enclosure in the coming weeks and months for her enthusiastic owners Chris and Carol Nash.

The mare is named after Chris’s mother Sheila who was a wonderful and popular character and it was so good to see her namesake showing the same spirit.

Shibuya Song runs tomorrow at Newbury in the 8.20pm.  Rab Havlin has been booked to ride and hopefully his feedback will be as useful as ever.  The ground should be a bit easier for her and she has won on the course in the past, although the race looks rather competitive with some unexposed three-year-olds in opposition.  The trip may be on the short side for her but there are very few options for her at present and she appears in good form at home.

It was great to welcome racing icons Brough Scott, Philip Christey, Colin MacKenzie and Jonathan Powell to Adlestrop on Monday for a lunch in memory of our great friend John Hanmer.  It was good to get together to relay many wonderful stories and discuss how we can all help with the brilliant race day at Newbury on the 22nd March next year.  The day will raise money and awareness of motor neurone disease which has affected so many people including our friend Steve Jobar.  Photo of them attached with Corrany who is raising money this summer for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

We are delighted to sponsor the clothing for Park Lane Stables (https://www.parklanestables.co.uk/ ) for their RDA Nationals competition at Hartpury this weekend.  A few months ago, it was great to welcome Louis Woolf for work experience, who like many has gained so much from Park Lane Stables.

It was wonderful to see this video on Instagram of Alice and Woody opening the delivery of t-shirts and caps:

Good luck to all taking part this weekend!
