We have declared Dora Vita at Wolverhampton on Friday evening in the seven furlong novice fillies stakes.  She is progressing with experience and after this run will have a handicap mark which will increase our options.  She is related to several winners and will undoubtedly strengthen further in time and looks the type to give her owners plenty of fun this summer.

We have made entries for both Tech That and Smile Back next week, including at Carlisle where they both ran well last season.  Looking forward to having a few more entries next week and prospects would be helped by less rain.

A very enjoyable night was had by all at Newbury racecourse on Monday evening thanks to the annual West Berkshire Racing Club Quiz.  We have had a team in the event for many years and past members of the team include the legendary John Hanmer.  With John’s passing we are proud to sponsor a trophy in his memory which goes to the winners of the runners up competition.

Delighted to report that this year following taking the runners up spot on a regular basis in the past – our team was victorious with an impressive seven point victory over many illustrious teams including the Racing Post and Raceform.

The room was full of many ‘anoraks’ and our team of bloodstock agent Richard Venn, his son William and team debutant Ralph Beckett pulled out all the stops on the night.

Looking forward to next year’s competition already and many thanks to all at the West Berkshire Racing Club for organising such an enjoyable event.
