Tuesday 7th March, 2023

A snowy start to the morning with the Cotswolds looking at its beautiful best with a light dusting.  It was great to welcome owners Charlie Allan, Dave Mason, Tot Calver and Jenny and Jonathan Stowell.  Hopefully with some rain on the way we will be able to have some runners over the next few weeks.

Unfortunately the rain didn’t come in time for Iron Horse at either Ffos Las or Wetherby but looking forward to him returning to chasing on his next run.

Thank you to everyone who supported our Adlestrop Club Cheltenham Preview last night.  The event returned to our village hall having been staged at the Cotswolds Club in recent years.

It was a cosy and enjoyable evening with a guest panel of Sam Twiston-Davies, Gordon Clarkson and Cornelius Lysaght stepping in for Jonathan Burke who was riding in France.  It was wonderful that Richard Pitman as an honorary member of the Club was able to come along.  Richard has been a great support of the Club and his imput was both informative and amusing as ever.

Many races and subjects were discussed during the evening with plenty of humour added.

• Gordon Clarkson – Impaire Et Passe in the Ballymore Novices Hurdle
• Sam Twiston-Davies – Shishkin in the Ryanair Chase
• Cornelius – Into Overdrive in the Ultima Handicap Chase
• Richard – Geri Colombe Brown Advisory
