Urban Champion has been declared to run in the 8.30pm at Kempton tomorrow evening. Kieran Shoemark takes the ride and hopefully the removal of the hood before the race will bring about an improved performance as he never really travelled on his last appearance. He has shown enough talent in the past to run well in such contests and hopefully he can get back to form.
We have entries for the weekend at Hereford and Warwick in the hope that the ground dries up for Elfride, Lesser and Little Big Kev. Like many in training at the moment, they could do with some decent going.
Thank you to everyone who supported last night’s Adlestrop Club Cheltenham Preview. The panel of Sam Twiston-Davies, Cornelius Lysaght and Gordon Clarkson were on top form as they relayed many interesting stories. Sam in particular enlightened the audience on the intricacies of the Cheltenham track and the many differences between British and Irish racing.
Thanks to the generosity of many, we had a raffle and auction in aid of the Graham Lee Injured Jockeys Fund. Graham has ridden for us in the past and is a great man who has had extraordinary bad luck but has faced his severe injuries with enormous character and stoicism.
The panel’s charity yankee is:
Sam TD Delta Work in the Cross Country
Cornelius Iroko in the Turners chase
Gordy Conflated in the Ryanair
Richard Phillips Meetingofthewaters in the Ultima
