Sumatran Tiger ran an excellent second at Huntingdon on Sunday.  Jumping well throughout – she benefited from the odds on favourite swerving and dislodging the jockey going past the stands on the first circuit.  However Tiggy moved up into the first two after this incident and was only beaten after the last staying on well to the line.  We will see what handicap mark she gets before deciding on her next race but hopefully she will continue to give her owner Bunny Roberts some fun as long as we can find some decent ground.

Hidden Target is declared in the National Hunt maiden hurdle at Chepstow tomorrow run at 2pm with Finn Lambert onboard.  He showed promise on his debut in a bumper and has schooled and worked well at home since. It is a competitive race but hopefully he will learn from this experience and this tall son of Sans Frontieres looks a chaser in the making.

Well done to all who organised the Racing Welfare ‘Racing Come Dancing’ at Newbury on Sunday evening.  A sell out crowd of three hundred fifty people were treated to a very entertaining evening thanks to the very sporting gesture of many in racing to dance and be judged in order to raise money for Racing Welfare.  Well done to bloodstock agent Tom Malone and his wife Sara who won the popular vote.

It was a pleasure to be asked to be one of the judges on the evening along with previous Strictly winners Orla Jordan and Chris Hollins.  The evening was proof that the racing community is a very strong one who often help their own and it was so good to see trainers Dan Skelton, Jamie Snowden and Tim Vaughan amongst others in the sport putting so much effort into providing a memorable night for all.  Good luck to those who are appearing in the York event on Sunday and both events look as though they are going to raise an impressive sum for a charity that does so much good for all within racing.
