Fine Theatre didn’t enjoy the faster ground at Ffos Las yesterday and Sam Twiston-Davies very sensibly looked after him.  We will look for a race at Worcester where he ran well last time and hopefully ground conditions will suit him a bit better.

Fighting Poet is declared at Wolverhampton on Thursday in the two mile handicap run at 4.20pm.  He has been running consistently well and hopefully the track won’t be too sharp for him.  With Kaiya Fraser being unavailable, we have booked promising apprentice Connor Planas who claims five pounds.

At present like many trainers in Britain, I am attending the Goffs Spring Sale at Doncaster where there are four days of store and form horses to choose from.  Delighted to join owner Colin Pocock at the sales yesterday and he is very pleased with his purchase of a Blue Bresil filly with plenty of black type in her pedigree.

Colin has been an owner for many years this is his first mare and we look forward to her showing plenty of ability on the track before breeding many winners.
