We have made plenty of entries for next week with Elfride having plenty of options and Bluenose Belle, Smile Back and Sumatran Tiger also having entries for Monday. As ever, the weather goes from one extreme to another but hopefully the frost will keep away and the ground will be suitable.
It’s been great to welcome plenty of owners to the yard over the last week including Colin Pocock, owner of Six Blue. I braved the rain to attend Cheltenham on Friday to see our good friend Sean Magee surrounded by plenty of great folk thanks the generosity of Tim Hailstone.
Yesterday was a special day at Plumpton when the Savill family and their many friends came together to raise money for research into the rare disease fibrolamellar liver cancer. This dreadful disease took the life of Charlotte Savill, one of Peter’s six wonderful children. A packed marquee supported the cause with enormous enthusiasm and love and around £300,000 was raised. J Francome and I were delighted to help in a small way by MC’ing the event and racing is a truly inspired sport when it comes to helping those in need.
