A great win for Lizzie Rey at Southwell yesterday under an excellent ride from Finn Lambert.  She jumped and travelled far better in first time cheekpieces.

Taking it up going towards the last hurdle, she showed plenty of stamina to go away for a four length victory.  The better ground and a wind op will also have helped and we look forward to Lizzie giving us plenty more fun in the Adlestrop Club.  It was great to have so many Club members in attendance, including Charlie Allan’s grandson Rex on his first day racing.

Little Big Kev looks as though he could do with a step up in trip having travelled into the race nicely then stayed on at one pace from the last.  He found the ground on the dead side and will improve for steeplechase fences.

Swift Jet found the watered ground at Uttoxeter on Saturday rather sticky and didn’t travel as well as in his previous hurdle races.  However he now has a handicap mark and will now go back up in trip once we find some better ground.  Again he is very much the make and shape of a chaser and looks the type to provide plenty of fun in the future.

Bluenose Belle is declared in the two mile novices hurdle at Ludlow on Thursday run at 3.20pm.  She showed promise on her last hurdle run at Southwell and hopefully she will continue to do so on Thursday and once again Finn Lambert takes the ride.
