Little Big Kev appeared to hold his breath in the second part of his race at Bangor on Saturday.  Hopefully a summer break and some hurdles will improve the situation as he showed plenty of promise on his previous starts.

We have a few entries towards the end of the week at Market Rasen, Newton Abbot at Uttoxeter and hopefully ground conditions will suit.

Yesterday members of The Adlestrop Club had a visit to Chapel Stud.  Situated near Worcester and run brilliantly by Roisin Close, the stud stands several stallions including Planteur and Bangkok.  Over twenty Club members enjoyed seeing the stallions, mares and foals and were given a fascinating insight into the workings of the stud from Roisin.  Many thanks to her and all her brilliant staff for making the visit so enjoyable.

Not far from the stud is the Three Nuns pub where we had a very enjoyable lunch thanks to landlord Dave Redfern who has Elfride with us.

Adlestrop Club honorary member Robert Cooper announced this week that he will be stepping down as presenter on Sky Sports Racing from the end of July.  ‘Roberto’ has been a great friend to the Club for many years, mainly by being the quiz master at our annual Question of Sport.  On and off camera he is great company and very amusing and we look forward to him continuing to enjoy the sport from behind the screen.
