A wonderful success for Bluenose Belle last night at Kempton.  Given a fine ride by David Probert – she travelled strongly and made smooth headway before taking it up two furlongs out to win decisively.  ‘Belle’ is a very popular character in the yard being a lovely big-eared mare with a lot of personality.

She has strengthened up since we purchased her and will hopefully go on to a hurdling career in the autumn after racing on the flat until then.  Delighted for owner Geoff Lansbury who has been such a loyal supporter over the years having had Noble Lord, Datito, Lindsay and Motou with us amongst others.  We look forward to more success and it looks as though she will get further in time.

The race replay can be viewed HERE.

We have declared Fighting Poet (pictured) for Kempton on Saturday in the 8.30pm.  He ran well over a shorter trip last time out at Lingfield and will this time be wearing a tongue strap and be ridden by Daniel Muscutt.  Hopefully the step up in trip will suit him and he can give the Richard Phillips Racing Syndicate some excitement.

A slight thaw overnight which meant we could jump some of the horses in the outdoor school and looking forward to schooling on the grass very soon.
