A brilliant win by Fighting Poet at Brighton on Wednesday (photo by Yvonne Haskett).  Given a fine ride by Jim Crowley, he travelled well off a strong pace to take it up at the furlong marker to win convincingly by over three lengths.  It was great so many of the Adlestrop Club were present for the win and we look forward to returning to the track with him next month and hopefully conditions will suit him again.  For more details on joining our fun club see HERE.

Off to Newton Abbot today for the 5pm where Shibuya Song runs in the three and quarter mile handicap hurdle.  Harry Bannister takes the ride and she wears a visor once again.  With few such races about it is a competitive event but hopefully she has an each way chance, although a more galloping track would be preferred.

Looking forward to National Racehorse Week which starts on Saturday.  We have lots of ways of celebrating the racehorse lined up for next week, including our own open day on Wednesday and welcoming some children through the wonderful charity Box4Kids next Friday.  With it taking place in the school holidays for the first time, hopefully we will recruit lots of young fans to the sport.
