Organdi ran a cracking race to be fourth yesterday in the three and a half mile handicap chase.  Looking magnificent in the paddock and winning ‘best turned out’ thanks to the efforts of Vicki Atkins – Organdi travelled and jumped well throughout the race and stayed on gamely up the Prestbury hill to give the Beautiful People a day to remember.

She is clearly still enjoying her racing and loves good ground therefore we will look for another race for her in May when hopefully she can get her head in front once again.  Having won every year for the last six years, it would be great to make it seven before a well-deserved retirement.

It was great to do some schooling over hurdles on some good ground for a change this morning.  I was joined by Organdi’s part-owner John Inverdale who also saw his mare Methodtothemagic go through her paces on the gallops.

Yesterday we welcomed Richard Johnson to the yard to ride Neeps And Tatties.  She is a five-year-old that he bred and owners Rob Dalziel, Keith Rogers and David Vowles were all in attendance to watch her both work and school under the retired champion.
