Fortunately the rains appear to have stopped in Adlestrop but thanks to heavy ground at Newton Abbot, we will not be taking Shibuya Song there on Monday as she prefers a firmer surface. We have entered her at Southwell next Thursday in the hope that conditions suit and we look forward to running her following her impressive Worcester victory.
This morning we upped the work on a few of the string as we get them fit for the upcoming jump season proper. We are fortunate to have a group of promising young horses and one of the best parts of my job is to see them develop and improve as the weeks go on. Hopefully lots to look forward to in the coming months.
We are looking forward to Fighting Poet returning to Brighton in October and there are some suitable races for him there on the 8th and the 17th. He has given the Adlestrop Club some great excitement this summer and hopefully his good form can continue in the coming weeks before he has a well-deserved break.
