Totterdown (pictured) ran an excellent race at Newbury yesterday finishing fifth, beaten six lengths by the winner but only a length and a half by the second.

Setting off in front under Tom Bellamy with top weight, he jumped very well and was only challenged at the second last and he stayed on well from the last flight to show great spirit.

Delighted to see so many members of the Adlestrop Club in attendance and hopefully Totterdown will continue to give the Club much enjoyment over the coming months.

Elfride found Taunton a bit too sharp earlier in the week but ran pleasingly considering and we will now look for a more galloping track for her.  The race was competitive enough and she was on the back of the leaders turning for home, before being outpaced on this sharp circuit.

We look forward to her being more competitive once we find a track that suits her better.

Plenty of runners hopefully coming up with entries next week for Methodtothemagic, Alright Chap, Bluenose Belle and Fighting Poet.
