We have declared Organdi (pictured) in the Summer Cup at Uttoxeter tomorrow run at 3.12pm.  It is a competitive handicap chase over three and a quarter miles and hopefully they won’t water too heavily as she likes top of the ground.

Sam Twiston-Davies takes the ride who won on her last season at Warwick and hopefully she will run a competitive race having pleased us all with her Cartmel effort.

Methodtothemagic is declared at Southwell on Monday in the 4.45pm – a two and a half mile mares handicap hurdle.  As we cannot find a suitable chase we are going back over hurdles and in trip as she has travelled well in her races recently without quite getting home.  Finn Lambert takes the ride claiming five pounds and she will probably have a holiday after this run.

Like many in the racing world I was kindly invited to Lords this week to watch the Ashes. It’s a great place to catch up with owners and a great place to watch Australians catch Englishmen.  England’s batting on Thursday has certainly given the Phillips XI plenty of confidence for our annual charity match in memory of Luke Watson on Sunday 27th August in aid of Racing Welfare.

Delighted to be asked to contribute to Racing TV’s ‘This Racing Life’ feature this week, promoting National Racehorse Week and encouraging careers in racing.   If you haven’t seen it, it can be viewed here:
