Elfride travelled well in first time blinkers but found little in the closing stages at Newton Abbot last week. Harry Atkins recommended we step back in trip with her. She appeared to jump well on the sounder surfaces and we also have the option of trying her back over fences on some better ground.
We have entries for later in the week with Santa Sabina entered at Worcester on Thursday and Shibuya Song in at Newton Abbot on Friday. There is some rain forecast which would not suit Shibuya Song but hopefully the ground will not ease too much and she can follow up on her previous pleasing Stratford run.
Pleased to have backed the Epsom Derby winner and hopefully some of you heeded the advice of last week. Well done to ITV’s Kevin Blake who gave the tri-cast which was a fair achievement although picking out horses to stay the trip on the rain softened ground, the first three home were certainly of great interest to such form studiers.
Sea Scout needs to settle and if he did, he has a decent prize in him. Whilst Nightime Dancer was finishing like the proverbial train.
