Bluenose Belle put up another excellent performance on Saturday night to finish second in a competitive fillies handicap at Kempton.  Travelling strongly until two out,  Rab Havlin said she could have done with a lead for a bit longer and was only passed by the winner in the last half furlong.

She is a real favourite here in Adlestrop and is giving owner Geoff Lansbury plenty of entertainment and fun and we look forward to her continuing to do so before going hurdling in the autumn.

It was great to visit owner Sue Welch and her many mares and young stock at the end of last week.  Delighted to see our wonderful mare Giovanna looking so well.

Now retired from breeding, her offspring continue to do very well and give much pleasure.  Sue has plenty of nice youngsters to look forward to including a very attractive Garswood three-year-old who will be coming to Adlestrop in the spring.

A wonderful weekend of racing at the Dublin Festival with plenty of favourites and upsets combined.  Galopin Des Champs looks a worth favourite for the Gold Cup after his win.  Whilst State Man is definitely improving and will have to do so to get near Constitution Hill at his best.

Gaelic Warrior and Good Land look two very decent novice hurdlers, whilst in the novice chase division Mighty Potter looks potentially top-class along with his Sandown winning stable mate, Gerri Columbe.  Much to look forward to.
