Idas Boy ran a pleasing race in the three mile handicap hurdle at Doncaster on Saturday.  Jumping well, he appeared to enjoy himself before understandably getting a bit tired two flights out then staying on after the last.  Hopefully this run will have brought on his fitness as we aim for the Grand National on 5th April.

It was great to have many of the Dozen Dreamers syndicate present and to see his new colours in action.  Touch wood, all goes well between now and Liverpool.

Little Big Kev was a bit outpaced off a strong gallop in the maiden hurdle but Sam Twiston-Davies was pleased with his effort and thought that in time he would need a bit further to be seen at his best.  Ultimately he is a chaser in the making once he has strengthened further.

Hidden Target made a pleasing debut in the bumper at Huntingdon yesterday finishing sixth but not beaten far for third.  The race looked a strong one on paper and Finn Lambert reported that despite showing greenness, he had a great attitude and looks every inch a chaser in the making and looks like rewarding the patience of the Hopeful Travellers.

Many thanks to all who supported our Cheltenham Memories and Fancies evening on Friday night raising money for Heros and the Injured Jockeys Fund.  Our panel of Richard Johnson, Carl Llewellyn and Gordon Clarkson were in great form, relaying stories of past festivals and discussing possible winners at this year’s event.

Thanks to a raffle, monies will go to both charities and delighted to help Will Lefebve’s fundraising for the IJF.  Will plans to travel to all fifty-nine British racecourses between now and August attempting to raise £1000 at each in memory of his relation Tim Hamey – a top NH jockey who needed the help of the charity in his later life.  If you would like to support Will, his Just Giving page is HERE.
