Hopefully we will have some runners towards the end of the week where we are most likely to get suitable ground conditions for our entries including Lizzie Rey, Bluenose Belle and Little Big Kev. Whilst Elfride looks likely to be making her chase debut at Uttoxeter on Saturday. We will make a decision about Manalishi in the morning as he is entered at Huntingdon on Thursday but annoyingly has developed an ill-timed leg infection.
Thanks to all who supported our Adlestrop Club Question of Sport on Thursday evening. Especially our celebrity teams including captains Sybil Ruscoe, John Inverdale and Mark Pougatch. Congratulations to Jeremy Brown’s team on winning the event. Charlie Allan once again posed some fascinating questions to keep everyone entertained. Whilst Sir Robert Cooper is a knight for all great nights. Around £1500 was raised for Heros Charity thanks to a fantastic raffle and generous auction.
It was a brilliant weekend of racing in Ireland with Galopin Des Champs moving into legendary status with a dominant display in the Irish Gold Cup. Whilst Majborough, Final Demand and Kopek Des Bordes look real Festival fancies after impressive performances. The latter will carry the hopes of many including his enthusiastic owners who gave a wonderful interview after the race just proving what a racehorse can do for families and friends.
