Delighted to have confirmed Idas Boy (pictured) this morning for the Grand National on Saturday.  He looks in great form and fingers crossed all goes to plan between now and Saturday.  Much excitement amongst the Dozen Dreamers as the dream continues and with feet firmly on the ground, we all know what a privilege it is to be in this position.  It is a very competitive race but Idas has shown decent form in the past and he deserves to be in the line up.

We have entered Six Blue in the bumper at Plumpton on Sunday.  We will definitely need some rain in order to run her which doesn’t look to be forecast, however this well-bred daughter of Blue Bresil works nicely and it was good to take her away for a gallop at the weekend.  Six Blue is not the only horse that needs some rain to run and April showers are very much needed.

Visited Maisemore point-to-point yesterday to watch Molly Armytage ride two excellent races to finish second on Baunmore Jet and On Guard. The former is trained by Katie Croft who began her career in racing here in Adlestrop.

The horse has forty enthusiastic and supportive owners, including some racing legends and it was wonderful to see so many of them in attendance yesterday including C Lysaght, M Caulfield, S McNeil, H Dunlop and E James.

Yesterday you could see why the point-to-point field is an excellent education for young riders and a massive crowd proved what a popular sport and community it is.
