Fighting Poet runs today in the 5.20pm at Wolverhampton – an amateur riders handicap with Ed Mitchell onboard and it will be his first ride in public.

Ed has worked hard since joining us and hopefully he will enjoy the experience.  Poet ran well last time out behind a decent winner and hopefully he will run a competitive race.  Interestingly we gave both Adam Wedge and Charlie Hills their first rides at the track.

Shibuya Song finished fourth yesterday under Connor Planas at Ffos Las.  He said she didn’t really travel during the race and he felt as if she needed to go back up in trip.  She ran a bit like she might have been in season and hopefully we can find a race over a longer trip for her soon.

It was a magical week at Royal Ascot with so many great stories and delighted to see both Charlie Hills and Willie Muir winning on Saturday.  Britain looked at its best with its respect for all classes, its communal singing at the end of each day and Frankie Dettori and his wife amongst the Royal procession.  Queen Elizabeth II would be rightly proud of the week.
