Elfride ran a pleasing race yesterday over a trip too short at Exeter and hopefully we can find a suitable opportunity for her over three miles in the coming weeks.

We have two runners at Ludlow today with Bluenose Belle (pictured) and Sumatran Tiger.  Belle runs in the two mile handicap hurdle at 1.35pm.  She has won her last two races but has had a summer break due to a fractured splint bone.  However she appears in good form now and hopefully the ground won’t be too soft for her.

Sumatran Tiger runs in the mares novices handicap hurdle run at 3.50pm.  She also likes decent ground and today is possibly the best going around at present.  Hopefully she can be competitive in her first handicap having been a pleasing second in her last race at Huntingdon.  Finn Lambert rides both.

Little Big Kev is declared at Market Rasen on Wednesday in the two and a half mile novices handicap hurdle.  Ideally he probably needs a bit further but it is a good opportunity for his first run back since sustaining a stress fracture in his last race at Uttoxeter.  He has shown ability in the past and hopefully the ground will not be too soft for him.  Tom Bellamy takes the ride.
