Fighting Poet has been declared at Brighton tomorrow in the mile and a half amateur riders handicap run at 5pm. A course and distance winner, he appears to like the south coast and hopefully will give Delphi Parkinson another good ride following her debut at Chepstow last week.
Although Poet could do with a bit more ease in the ground, he has come out of the Chepstow race well and despite it being a competitive race he should give the Adlestrop Club another fun day in Sussex.
Well done to all those who took my advice at Royal Ascot on Friday with 7-1 and 25-1 winners in the first two races. Hopefully some put them in a double to help pay for next years Ascot outfit.
Once again congratulations to Harry Eustace on yet another Group 1 winner and also to Kieran Shoemark for an excellent double at the meeting, proving once again that racing is a rollercoaster but rewards talent and diligence.
Looking forward to celebrating Racing Staff Week this week which is a great initiative for the sport. As we all know, without the brilliant work force in racing who put on the show and give racehorses lives that humans should have, the sport would not survive.
The Adlestrop team are looking forward to my culinary skills at our staff bbq mid week, which once again this year will be sponsored by Rennie.
