Off to Plumpton today for the 3.45pm with The Last Drop, a three mile novices handicap hurdle. Hopefully the step up in trip will suit her and she has shown form in the past to be competitive in this event. Finn Lambert rides.
Neeps And Tatties ran a pleasing fourth at Huntingdon on Thursday considering she pulled hard in behind the leaders off a slowly run pace. She goes well on soft ground and we look forward to following up in handicap company again soon.
We have Swift Jet and Agent Argylle entered on Friday and we are looking forward to some flat entries next week.
Many thanks to all who supported the Adlestrop Club Question of Sport Quiz on Thursday evening in aid of the Hunt Family Fund. As ever, it was a fun evening thanks to our brilliant question setter Charlie Allan and quiz master Robert Cooper. It was a tie between the celebrity teams captained by Mark Pougatch and John Inverdale, whilst the winning visitors team was my old school, St Andrews – which was a mix of former school friends and teachers.
Around £1600 was raised for the cause and many thanks to all those who helped make the evening such a success.
We are looking forward to our Adlestrop Club ‘Cheltenham Memories and Fancies evening’ with Cornelius Lysaght and Jim Old this Friday in Adlestrop Village Hall. It promises to be an evening of fun and info for all present, so please book your places as soon as possible as we have only a few seats available.
