Miss Mahmite looked like staying on up the straight at Doncaster on Friday, however Tom Bellamy thought she took a false stride or two and sensibly pulled her up. She appeared fine after the race and we will investigate to see if we can find any reason for this.
Off to Exeter today to saddle Elfride (pictured) in the conditional jockeys handicap hurdle run at 12.40pm. She won well at Uttoxeter earlier in the year and has run well on the course in the past. Oscar Palmer takes the ride claiming seven pounds and hopefully she will run a competitive race as she begins her winter campaign.
Sheila Nash has been declared at Hereford tomorrow in the three miles one furlong handicap hurdle, once again with Oscar Palmer onboard. She ran well over course and distance recently and although it is a competitive event the ground conditions should suit her.
Sun Tracker is entered at Wolverhampton on Thursday and we also have entries for the weekend and are looking forward to being pretty busy with runners over the next few weeks.
Our thoughts are with Graham Lee and his family at this very difficult time following his recent injury. I have known Graham for many years and he is a fantastic man. Racing is a wonderful community and I am sure it will do everything it can to ensure Graham is given the best possible care at all times as we pray for his recovery.
