Picanha was an excellent third at Haydock on Saturday in the Challenger Series Stayers Final. He stayed on well in the straight having taken a bit of time to warm up in the race but once again showed his consistency in running on after the last and he has been placed in every race he has run for us. We look forward to him beginning his chasing career soon and hope to find some safe ground for him in April and May.
Ned Cash (pictured) runs today in the 1.05pm at Huntingdon – a novices hurdle over two miles. We have been waiting for better ground for him and hopefully conditions will suit. He showed promise in his two bumper runs and has schooled well at home – Finn Lambert takes the ride. It is a competitive contest as many others have been waiting for better ground but hopefully he will continue to show promise for his owner Althea Barclay.
We have entries for Elfride and The Last Drop later in the week with the latter hopefully making her debut for us in the bumper at Southwell on Thursday. A daughter of Mahler, she was runner up in a bumper in Ireland before joining us in December.
