Shibuya Song appears to have improved her jumping with experience and ran on well at Stratford on Thursday in the novices hurdle.  Hopefully now she is gaining in confidence we can step her up in trip in the future and she appears to enjoy the summer ground.

Ned Cash settled better at Warwick on Saturday evening, however Brendan Powell reported that he appears to be holding his breath and not relaxing enough during his race.  Therefore we will aim to give him another run in a couple of weeks time in the hope that he gradually learns to settle and breathe in a rhythm.

Totterdown (pictured) is declared in the two mile handicap hurdle at Ffos Las on Wednesday.  Hopefully the rains will arrive as he loves soft ground and although he has shown his best form going right-handed, he ran well at Newbury last year and Ffos Las is a similar type of rack.  Once again Finn Lambert rides taking off three pounds.  Totterdown will be carrying top weight but he appears in good form at home.

We have plenty of entries at the weekend with Picanha entered in the three mile handicap chase at Uttoxeter, whilst Methodtothemagic and Mattie Ross also have entries at the meeting.  Mattie is also entered at Stratford on Sunday along with promising bumper horse Little Big Kev.  Hopefully there will be safe ground on both courses.
