Dark Terms is declared at Kempton on Wednesday in the seven furlong handicap run at 3.30pm.  Owned and bred by Apple Tree Stud, she won as a two-year-old for Archie Watson.  We look forward to her stepping up in trip and hopefully this well-bred filly will run competitively with Daniel Muscutt onboard.

Much will depend on the weather with entries this week and with the snow about it’s difficult to predict how racing will go later in the week.

It was great to welcome some members of the Zara Syndicate and the Cavallo Syndicate to the yard on Saturday morning.  Both syndicates are headed by Guy Butchers and the Zara Syndicate have had a lot of fun with Mattie Ross.  Unfortunately she has recently suffered an injury that will put her out for the season but hopefully their patience will be rewarded.

The Cavallo Syndicate have Pop Mistress’s half-sister, Lizzie Rey – and they saw her go through her paces on the gallops.  We look forward to Lizzie giving them plenty of fun in 2023.

With racing abandoned on Saturday, ITV were left to open discussion and reminiscing with Ed Chamberlin and his studio guests, AP, Ruby and Luke Harvey.  Despite the lack of action it was great viewing as Ruby is a brilliant analyst and brings out the best in McCoy as they are great friends.  Whilst Luke with his normal self-deprecation, brings a humorous and more relaxed feel to the punditry.  The more television can show of racing’s great characters sharing their views and humour, the more popular it will become.

A few months ago our secretary Jo was interviewed for the popular ‘Over The Stable Door’ site by JoJo O’Neill.  The interview was published on Saturday and you can read it HERE.
